['stænfədrɪ'vɪʒn-], ein Intelligenztest für Kinder im Alter zwischen 3 und 14 Jahren, auch für Erwachsene. Er wurde 1916 von Lewis M. Terman (* 1877, ✝ 1956) an der Stanford University als Revision des Binet-Simon-Tests bearbeitet und veröffentlicht; weitere Revisionen 1937, 1960/64 und 1986. Eine deutsche Fassung (Stanford-Binet-Intelligenztest) wurde 1957 (revidiert 1965) von Heinz-Rolf Lückert (* 1913) vorgelegt. Der Intelligenzquotient wird darin durch Inbezugsetzung von Intelligenz- und Lebensalter ermittelt; in den amerikanischen Revisionen ab 1960 wird er durch den zuverlässigeren und valideren Abweichungs-IQ ersetzt.
